I have had such a fun week with Soeur Smith! It started out kinda
crazy and so the poor thing still hasn't had time to unpack but I
think she still loves me haha.
Tuesday we went to help Marie, who is a lady that we do service for
once a week and then we teach her a little bit. It's been so cool to
see her changing and how she turns to God now in little thanks and see
His hand on her life. She's really funny though and every time she
catches herself doing it she says this is your fault! I don't think
it! But secretly we all know she does ;)
We were also about to go out to Thonon this week to see the Boileau
family and we got to teach their 2 grandsons who are total
sweethearts! We had a great lesson with the boys about repentance and
then since they live right on Lake Geneva we were able to go to the
lake and throw rocks for a little.
Oh and also, great news! Our recent convert Jocelyne went to the
temple!!! This week we helped her do her family history and she took
some of her own family names! We haven't been able to get many details
yet but she said it went great and she can't wait to tell us about her
experience!
And like always we visited Nina and her family who is doing great! She
spent most of the time teaching me different French clapping games
haha. I'm pretty bad at remembering the words to them but she thinks
it's funny when I mess up. Also since we've started visiting Nina
she's become super great at doing an American accent when she speaks
French! Haha it's super funny to see her imitate us.
One of the things that has been on my mind lately is how our agency
works. We know that Heavenly Father is always there for us and he will
bless us as much as He can but when we make a bad choice sometimes we
have to live with the consequences. And I think that can be hard when
the choices we make as teenagers or young adults affect our lives for
years. I've seen that in some of the people we teach and it's so hard
to watch them regret the choices they've made and have to watch them
live with the consequences. But thankfully, no matter what the Lord
knows our pain and Heavenly Father will help us as much as He can.
Je vous aime beaucoup!

Sooo this was the state of our apartment Sunday night haha. It was pretty bad but don't worry, promise we cleaned and it's as good as new! We would pass any apartment inspection! |
